BIOGRAPHY:

ADORNED BROOD are one of the leading bands of Germany’s pagan metal scene. The earned this reputation with their energetic live shows which make their shows and exeperience and makes band and fans unite in a wild outrageous unity.
The genre of “Pagan Metal” did not yet exist when the band was started back in 1993. Adorned Brood started as young metalheads who loved their music and wanted to create an own sound as they combined extreme metal with folk elements and flutes. Nobody would have foreseen by that time that this kind of music would become am important part of the metal scene.
Today the band looks back on eight studio album and an natural progression of their sound. They never followed any upcoming trend and have already survived diverse member changes and changes of record labels. Those circumstances would have destroyed most other bands but made Markus Frost and his bandmates even stronger and encouraged them to follow the path they started almost 20 years ago.
Besides many festival appearances as for ex. the Wacken Open Air, ADORNED BROOD toured as support for Alestorm and Tyr in Europe. In support of the 2010 album „Hammerfeste“ they did an European tour with Negura Bunget and Black Messiah. The shows of the band also included support shows for Subway To Sally, Turisas, Norther, Korpiklaani, Ensiferum and many more as well as a co-headlining European tour with Catamenia and festival shows like on the Summer Breeze, Party San, Wave Gotik Treffen, Ragnarök Festival or Feuertanz Festival.
ADORNED BROOD stand for their original folkloric pagan metal style and their energetic live-performancees. And they don’t just show up on Europe – in December 2012 the band will play in in Sao Paulo, Brasil.
The new album „Kuningaz“, marks their label debut for Massacre Records and will be released in November 2012. ADORNED BROOD stick to their roots and present and excellent studio album with strong arrangements, huge instrumentation and a hard-hitting sound with eleven covincing songs. Aggressive hooks which make you headbang meet hymnic refrain melodies who have ear-catching potential. Atmospheric instrumenatl passages meet virtuos guitar soli. They also included new elements to their sound but still combine groovy folk melodies with classical metal. The songs are topped by their catchy melody lines and the charismatic vocals of singer Frost.
As a present for the fans this time they also release a limited Digipak edition with the exclusive bonus track „Totenmarsch“ which the band has recorded again for this release.
ADORNED BROOD‘s new album Kuningaz“ is an album that will find ist fans not only in the pagan scene as the variety of their songs should also find fans in other metal scenes both on CD and live.
