The last 4 years - Frost put it into words for you...

If you want to know, why the new release "Heldentat" took so long (at least
4 years!), you can read this little story from Frost. And don't bother to
discuss about this with others in our Board.

There have been moments, when I didn't really believed that we'll record a
new CD ever. But finally we put all things right and now we are about to
record our new release "Heldentat".
I just wanted to tell you, why all things took so long:
Well, right after the release of "Erdenkraft" - which was 4 years ago - our
future seemed to be very promising. We played our best concerts ever and
have been in the middle of our preparations for a new album...
But after a really well going concert in Leipzig on the WGT, Andreas told
us, that he will leave the band. I don't want to comment it here, why he
left the band - anyway, suddenly we stood there without a main- songwriter.
After several meetings and discussions we decided to carry on, now more than
ever. A lot of more or less suitable guitar players came into our old, smoky
rehearsal room (at least the room was for free!) and after a quest of nearly
6 months we decided us for Thorsten. He is a fantastic guitar player and we
got along perfectly since the first session.
With Thorsten we finally started to write new songs, but again something had
to happen. They closed our rehearsal room. Well, this does not sound so
dramatically, but this was the only reh. room far and wide... It was really
unfair. We could not keep on writing songs, without a room. Well, Adorned
Brood would not be Adorned Brood if we would have surrendered. In the last
corner of our town we found a new room, half as big as the old one and for
ONLY 250 € (in former times of the "Deutsche Mark" I payed this for my
apartment!!!). But at least we could start again...
Ok - obviously now everthing was right to prepare and record a new album.
Unfortunatly our record company "Moonstorm" could not finance anything. Not
a single day in a studio. So we had to wait again, and finally we found
another label (Black Bards Entertainment), which was more than interested in
Adorned Brood.
I have to say, that the break with Moonstorm Rec. was in peaceful. We really
have to owe Moonstorm a lot, and we would not have been that what we are now
without Moonstorm.
Black Bards Entertainment is a small and young label, but I prefer to be a
big fish for a small label, than a small fish for one of these big record
labels. But you can definitly count on, that our cooperation will be
successful.
As you can see, the first records are done and we are about to finally
complete our new album. Naturally, like on every new Adorned Brood album,
there will be some changes and new elements in our music but one thing is
sure: You definitly will like our new material.
To end my little story, I want to tell you how we came to the name of our
new release:
After all this bad strokes of fate and problems we kept on fighting. We so
often have been faced with the ruin, but had the will to carry on. We wanted
to form this Stamina, or staying power into a word - which resulted in
"Heldentat" (engl.: feet).
Here are some of our songs, which you will find on our new release. In total
we'll record 12 songs, including intro and outro.
